AquaSquirts is based on the belief that swimmers learn best through PLAY. Learning through play creates an atmosphere that fosters confidence and relaxation, allowing swimmers to participate in an enjoyable, successful swim. AquaSquirts is a play based, water-orientation program that helps develop swimming skills. It involves fun in the water – jumping, rolling, spinning, twisting, and turning upside down. The goal of the program is for swimmers to become comfortable and familiar with shallow – and deep-water positions through various play-based water skills. AquaSquirts is designed to be a “fun” swimming program for both you, the instructor, and for swimmers taking the lessons. For more information contact the Synchro Alberta office at 780-415-1789.
For swimmers eager to learn the sport of synchronized swimming, Synchro Canada’s Star Program offers progressive, step-by-step instruction and evaluation suitable for a variety of ages and abilities, including persons with disabilities.
This developmental skills program offers instruction starting with basic skills and moving to more advanced techniques as swimmers progress through the levels. Swimmers will learn all of the fundamental sculls, basic figures and their parts, and be introduced to a sequence and routine component in the early levels, Stars 1-10. They will then move on to the most challenging figures and routine skill sets in the Superstar 1-7 levels.
